Solethu Forms Mining Venture
Solethu has formed a wholly owned subsidiary called Solethu Mining to focus on Mining Opportunities throughout Africa. Solethu through its strong logistics capabilities is very well positioned to add value to Mining Entities working in logistically constrained areas and seeks to partner with them in developing their resources.

Solethu Investments is 95% black controlled and is 80% black owned on a flow through basis.
Solethu shareholding structure ensures that it is a black controlled empowerment entity with a sustainable black shareholding base.

Solethu has a 22% shareholding in the Bridge Group. Ted Zulu (through his majority owned company RRL Investments) made this investment in 2006 where he was chosen as the preferred BEE partner to the Bridge Group.
About The Bridge Group
The Bridge Group comprises of 7 companies that fall into 2 categories; Logistics Divisions and Trading Divisions.
The Logistics Divisions include:
- Bridge Marine - Ships agency for MISC, Proline and Seacon
- Bridge Shipping - Clearing and Forwarding agents with offices in Johannesburg, Durban, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.
- Bridgeport Jnb and Dbn - Container depots, bonded warehousing and rail specialists
The Trading divisions include:
- Bridge Trade - fulfilling procurement for Sub Saharan African large scale enterprises such as the mines, tobacco industry, cotton industry etc.
- Foton - (a division of Bridge Trade) - as the Southern African agents for Foton Lovol Heavy Industries, we import, assemble, distribute and service Foton tractors in the Southern African region.
- Felda Bridge Africa - Joint venture company with Felda Malaysia and are the premier importers of palm oil products into South Africa
- Felda Bridge Industries - Locally based oil refinery that process bulk oils into specialised baking margarines and shortenings
